I was quite interested when my friend introduced to me this one book program. I am very proud to have the opportunity of doing things for children. During the time I was oversea, I found that foreign children have more chance to read books and cherish books more compared with Chinese children. Instead of damaging their books, they pass on their books to one another or just sell them out when they finish reading them.
As an accountant, I deal with numbers every day. In order not to mix them up, I imagine them as loveable children. 1 is a kid tall and thin. 6 is a over- weigh dwarf. My friends call me never-grown child every time they see me doing that. Actually, I always do that because I cherish love in my heart. I love this world, this colorful live, and our loveable kids.
On one hand, books can be our friends and teachers. On the other hand, children are the future of our country. Any plan that combines these two together deserves our support. I take part in this program, hoping that more children can read the books they want to read. Compared with the hustle and bustle of this busy world, I like more the peace of reading. It feels so relaxed and peaceful to read. However, this kind of serenity is too far away from us. I sincerely hope that more people will take part in our program and help it continue.
I am a painter. I have held many exhibitions of my paintings in some countries, for example,
I learned the idea of this program from the founder whose son had been learning English with my son. We talked about it when after class. At first we, the several parents of the kids, have reminded her of the possible difficulties and disadvantages of the program. However, we can only say that we are moved by her perseverance, when we saw the determination on her face and the vitality she gathered for the benefit of children. I am willing to work for the program, for my child and other kids. Let’s work hard.
